NEWS:
02/12/01:
WOW! That is all I can say about our last show! We had Veronica play
along
with Run to Lynae and The Great Northern! All of the bands were great
and
thanks to my brother Bill for trying to get the sound right. Since
we moved
to a different part of the building, sound was a major challenge. We
finally
were able to get things straight and Veronica sounded great! It turns
out
that The Great Northern is no stranger to the area. In fact, they are
from
right up Macdaddy Blvd in Woodlyn. They hail right out of the Woodlyn
Baptist Church! Cool! Thanks for coming guys! Run to Lynae had so much
energy; they were awesome! The dueling guitars were great! We apoligize
for
not getting the sound just right while you were playing, but these
bugs will
work themselves out for future shows. Once again, please keep all of
these
bands as well as all other bands in prayer as they try to serve the
Lord
with the talent He has blessed them with.
We are trying to get an established schedule
hooked up as well as get a
lot more people interested and involved to get the best the Christian
music
the area has to offer! With all of the headlines that have been dominating
the front pages, it shows me that the sense of urgency to do so is
well
founded. The morals of our own teens has deteriated at an alarming
rate and
we need to combat it! The House of Zoe is dedicated to doing just that
by
providing a safe haven for teens tired of what the world has to offer
them.
It's time to fight back and not keep quite as the world trys to take
our
teens down with it! Let's get out there and do something about it!
If you
are willing to join us in that fight, right to me at Bob1Judy1@hotmail.com.
If you are willing to support this ministry in any way you can, let
us know!
This is Crazy Bob signing Let The Peace Out!!!
01/07/01:
Greetings and Happy New Year to all of you HoZers out there! What a
wild and
Wacky year we had here at the House of Zoe! We kicked off our first
year of
existence with Winged Potato and Splinter! Since then both bands went
through name changes and some personnel changes... I think Y2K was
to blame
or something. Then in March we had Short for Robert (We have got to
get
these guys back! They were soo cool!) and Not another Greek tragedy!
In June
we had Ohio Plastics and Second Chance( The resurrection tour!) Then
we
closed out the year with Mustard!
All of these bands were awesome in their own
right! They all kicked
major booty! (Am I allow to say this?) Oh well! We are going to start
this
year off right with another band called... Veronica! If you
were at last
years BreakthruMusicFest or Cornerstone, this band was there! They
will be
coming with another band, more information to follow! Please turn out
and
support this band and this ministry or the HoZ police will steal all
of your
Lawn Gnomes and hold them hostage until you do!
We will be doing more stuff this year as we
will try and move this to
another part of the building to get that more coffeehouse feeling!
We will
also be trying to get Rock for Life out with us and we now have the
official
support of SkaMom! Way to go! We need all the help we can get! (My
HMO won't
cover my meds anymore!) We are also in contact with a Canadien Ministry
-
Flame Resistant Ministries. They are real cool, heh? Please check out
their
web site when you get a chance. They can be found at
http://members.truepath.com/FlameResistant
It is soo cool!
That is all for now, remember...mark those
calendars for Feb 09th 2001.
Friday night starting at 07:00pm Get ready to Rock the HoZ!!!! with
Veronica! Peace OUT! Crazy Bob

6/10/2K:
HoZ 70's night was in the immortal words of Tony the Tiger...
Grrreaaaat!!!
ohioplastics was awesome! They really laid some vicious licks down!
They
Rocked the House! Was that not the coolest thing to see Angie on drums???
And Jason proved that no matter what situation you're in or how you
come to
the Lord, that you can come to Him and He will accept you as you are!
Thanks
so much to Second Chance for coming to the House! Kev, two thumbs way
up for
the green hair! When they lept into the audience was my favorite part!
Or
mabe it was the mosh-Pit! Both bands did an outstanding job! I would
especially like to thank the three lovely young ladies who were more
than
willing to get up in front of everyone and Disco down!!! You were great!
A
big round of sound goes out to the West Chester Church of the Nazarene
who
made it a hat trick! This was their third time out to the HoZ! SPecial
thanks
goes to Pastor Joe for bringing them! The outfits on everyone were
Boss!
(obscured reference lost on younger participants!)
Our next HoZ will be August 11th @ 7:00pm and the
band will be - Mustard!
A way cool band all the way from Maine! They have played with some
really
cool bands including my personal favorite (next to Second Chance) Five
Iron
Frenzy! We are also looking at taking the HoZ on the road! Yes! Soon
we will
be announcing a date and time for a Splash Party! Party at the pool
and rock
the HoZ! Details on that to follow!
4/23/2K: It's been confirmed. ohioplastics and Second
Chance will be performing on June 9th. For anyone who was there for
the show with Wing-ed Potato will see some familiar faces. We hope
for a huge turnout on this one! Tell all your friends!
3/19/2K: "Short For Robert" played at our 3/17/00 show along
with "Not Another Greek Tragedy" Both bands were awesome! Short For Robert
came all the way from Indiana,Pa and played some serious Emo-Ska! The audience
was "Skankin'" to the beat! Not Another Greek Tragedy is a punk band from
New Jersey and was real cool! The audience seemed to enjoyed both
bands. Although, I think the highlight for them was to see their own
youth leaders up on stage "Stompin" to God's Property's "Stomp!" Thanks
to all who were brave enough to put on a choir robe and Stomp to a
song
some have never heard before! You were awesome! We were small that
night, but we were mighty!
God blessed this night with a terrific performance by my kids favorite
band, "Short for Robert!" a.k.a. the artists formerly known as BOB. The
Praise and Worship was the best. It is always my favorite! From the opening
with lead singer, Phil Kim and company wearing silly wigs and
costumes, to special pyrotechnics to show God's love for us. It was
an awesome night! I can't wait for the next house to begin!!!
We are still in the experimental stage at this point and are really
racking our brains as to how best reach the youth and have them come on
back. We are thinking of starting earlier, having doors open at 6:45pm
with the show staring around 7:05. We will try and make sure that the
night is over early enough for people to get home at a decent hour.
We are going to make sure everyone gets time for fellowship and fun. The
nights overall goal is to show teens that being a Christian is not boring
and that it is a real honor to serve a God of Love and walk with a Loving
Savior who doesn't care where we come from, but is concerned where we go.
Christ Love for us is immeasurable, His sacrifice for us is unfathomable,
and His commitment to us is unquestionable.

3/4/2K: The Web Page is almost finished! Hope that
